Daytona Bike Week 2006
It was our last night in town, so we went back down to the strip in
Daytona. That's when we discovered Greg's bike had a big honking
bolt stuck in the tire. Shit on a shingle. After an unsuccessful
application of fix-a-flat, Greg finally went for the old fashioned
plug. Worked like a champ and we were back on our way to Main Street.
Unfortunately, Main Street literally gets shut down by the PoPo
around 2AM. If you think about it... the bars, beer babes, etc
would have to work around the clock. Bikers would stand around and
drink all night if not prompted to go home!
The next day we cruised back down to the Cabbage Patch. I wanted
to show all the pollen and dust that had settled on the roof of
Greg's car in just a couple days. It was thick!
One of the common themes this year was expressive t-shirts.
Maybe it was the ass-biting cold weather last year that kept everyone
wrapped up, but it seemed that there were more clever, rude, funny,
and entertaining shirts this year than ever. Good stuff!
More pictures of the Julia Roberts look-alike tattoo girl... she
was really nice with a great sense of humor. We also captured
some insanity in the form of trike-tractor-pulling. On this pass,
the guy out front almost didn't stop in time and bounced off one of
the portable toilets. That would not have been pretty, especially
since he wasn't wearing a helmet! :) Finally, there was a
really cool pet parrot there that would open your beer can tab for
you. Great party trick!
