Daytona Bike Week 2008
Nightfall comes and we head down to Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch. By the time we get there, things were pretty quiet... other than some really, really loud techno rising from the far corner of the vendor area. Some mask-wearing guy was whipping out these wild paintings that he was making by hand from cans of spray paint.... using straight edges, fingers, etc. It was a pretty bizarre scene, even for bike week. His sign said "Myspace Joshua Moonshine" if you care to look him up.
Under the main tent, "Big Daddy" was soon whipping out some classic rock tunes that raised the roof. After Big Daddy finished, Black Frog went on the opposing stage and completely rocked out. These guys kicked ass and drove the crowd wild with a Black Sabbath "War Pigs" cover!
After Black Frog played for a while, there was a wet t-shirt contest that turned out almost lame. Apparently the local laws have changed and the women were warned about not letting any nipples slip out.... not that you couldn't see them anyway. The girl with the yellow boy shorts ended up winning, though Greg and I both though the short girl on the end (Maureen?) deserved the win. We were pretty tuckered by this point, so we called it a night. The last two pictures started our adventure on Main Street in Daytona the next morning with a beer cutie wearing a patch that said "SPANK ME". It's not nice to tease!
